GENIUS is a new Australian musical that tells the untold story of Albert Einstein and Mileva Maric; chronicling the early years of their struggle to be recognised as budding physicists attempting to overthrow the physics establishment, their rivalry and their scandalous romance.

 

It is a unique and timely piece for todays audience as it demands us to remain curious and re-examine history; impelling us to listen to the voices unheard and lost in the overgrowth of time. More than ever we need to recognise and encourage diversity and look back at those who may have not been recognised due to prejudice.

 

Utilising contemporary popular musicals such as ‘Be More Chill’ and ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ as a precedent, we will present Genius as a visual concept album; releasing 10 highlight songs from the show with notable musical theatre performers, which will be streamed for free online as animated videos which will bring the story to life. The songs will also be available for streaming on Spotify and other music platforms.
